I picked Fai from Tsubasa because I've always loved how Fai's personality weirdness was a mystery for most of the manga, and then when it gets revealed it's SO GOOD :'D Still one of my favourite background stories for a character, although it's for some excessively dramatic, I think it explains so well his behaviour later in the manga.
[contains SPOILERS] When Fai is young he's always drawn with his twin brother so I drew him alone, indicating that this is after his brother died. The scene is more conceptual than realistic, since he's never shown in such a way. I drew him trapped in ice with the reflections of his brother, because that's the moment his life stopped and time froze. I decided to draw this since his brother's death is the major turning point of his life, when he starts putting up his mask and feeling like he doesn't deserve to live.
Art-wise I did it differently than usual, no lines this time since I hadn't drawn lineless in a while...
